In September of 2006 House Resolution #222 was passed in the House of Representatives declaring
October 15th as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. The official website for Pregnancy and Infant loss Remembrance Day (october15th.com) requests that on October 15th, candles be lit at 7pm in every time zone so that there will be a continuous wave of light around the world in memory of the precious babies gone too soon.
Minutes of Gold volunteers have been making infant bereavement garments for babies born too soon and donating these items to hospitals since 1992. The nurses have the challenge of presenting these tiny babies to their grieving families. Without the gifts that the volunteers provide, there would be nothing suitable, available for this purpose.
